lemlist Review: Is It the Right Tool When LinkedIn Is Your Main Channel?

Short answer: lemlist is a sales engagement platform that’s strongest at cold email. Every plan gets lemwarm, inbox rotation, and deliverability alerts. To use LinkedIn, call, and SMS steps, you’ll need the Multichannel plan. For LinkedIn-first teams, the catch is setup: LinkedIn runs through lemlist’s Chrome extension and your logged-in browser, and each seat gets one LinkedIn account.
What is lemlist used for? Running one sequence across multiple channels. For example, you work with 200 leads: each gets an email on day one, a LinkedIn invite two days later, and a call task if they stay quiet.

How We Reviewed lemlist
The Dripify team, led by our CEO Alex, tested lemlist hands-on in 2026. That meant buying a domain, connecting mailboxes, running campaigns on imported leads, and spending real time in the inbox and reports. Prices and plan details were checked on lemlist’s pricing page and help center on Oct 15, 2026. For things one test can’t cover, like support over several months, we read reviews on G2, Capterra, and Trustpilot.
| Criterion | Score | What the score is based on |
|---|---|---|
| Email deliverability | 9 | Warm-up, inbox rotation, and alerts on every plan; domain and mailbox setup took us about 13 minutes |
| Personalization | 9 | Custom images, Liquid syntax, AI variables, and AI voice messages |
| Data | 7 | 650M+ leads and solid enrichment, but basic search filters in our test |
| LinkedIn automation | 6 | Wide step set, but tied to a Chrome session and one account per seat |
| Reporting and inbox | 6 | All channels in one reply thread and one analytics view; no outbox |
| Pricing transparency | 6 | Public prices; three different credit rules |
| Ease of use | 7 | Top G2 theme (584 mentions), plus 125 mentions of a learning curve |
lemlist Pros and Cons
lemlist pros
- Deliverability tools come with every plan: lemwarm, inbox rotation, and the Deliverability Hub. Our new domain and mailboxes were ready in about 13 minutes.
- The $55 Email plan (annual billing) has no limit on users or senders, so a whole team can share it.
- If one contact at a company replies or stops, lemlist can pause everyone else from that company. Out-of-office replies get handled without you.
- Personalization goes past {{firstName}}: a lead’s logo on an image, AI-written lines, or an AI voice note on LinkedIn.
- Credits go only on data that comes back: 5 for an email, 20 for a phone number.
lemlist cons
- LinkedIn automation needs the Chrome extension and a live session in the right Chrome profile.
- Each seat connects one LinkedIn account, so every LinkedIn sender needs a seat on the Multichannel plan.
- Lead search filters were basic in our test: exact-match titles only, no persona filters, and no cap on leads per company.
- Email and LinkedIn replies from one lead land in a single thread, so finding the interested ones takes extra clicks. We found no outbox for scheduled messages.
- One AI Context Center per account, which gets awkward if you sell more than one product.
- Plan credits reset monthly. G2 reviewers mention cost 141 times, mostly about credits (G2).
- New users describe a learning curve, and some find the interface dense with many campaigns running (G2).
lemlist Features: What Each Plan Actually Includes
lemlist puts every channel into one builder, but your plan decides which channels appear there.
Multichannel Sequence Builder

lemlist’s Multichannel plan adds LinkedIn, call, SMS, and manual steps to email. You can have AI draft the campaign or start from community templates that other users share. The step list we worked with was long: AI voice messages, a comment on the lead’s latest post, an API call, and a move into another campaign. Any step can be switched to manual.
Campaigns branch on conditions such as “Accepted invite,” though the set of conditions felt short next to all those steps. The automation settings were the part we liked most, especially pausing a whole company once one contact stops. One rule matters for LinkedIn-led teams: the help center lists “a campaign with at least one email step” as a requirement for LinkedIn steps.
Calls and SMS With Local Numbers

Calls and SMS work much like email setup. Connect your own number, or buy one in your prospects’ country so more people pick up. Texting US leads requires A2P 10DLC carrier registration, and lemlist files it for you.
Personalization: Images, AI Lines, and Voice Notes

With Liquid syntax, SaaS founders and agency owners can get different openers inside the same campaign. Contact and sender variables work in every step, and you can add media. Personalized images can show each lead’s name or company logo. AI personalization comes through AI variables, which cost 1 credit per request. On LinkedIn, the Multichannel plan adds voice message steps: record your own audio, or let AI generate one from a script with lead variables.
lemlist’s Lead Database and Enrichment

lemlist’s lead database lists 650M+ leads, with an email finder, a verifier, and a phone number finder. A found email costs 5 credits, charged only for a deliverable or risky address. Phone numbers cost 20 credits and aren’t checked before the charge.
Leads can also come in from a CSV, HubSpot, Salesforce, Pipedrive, signal agents, or LinkedIn. In our test, enrichment found a LinkedIn profile from just an email address. You can add custom fields and Clay-style AI columns, and every lead carries a lifecycle status. Reps clear manual work in a Tasks view, one task after another.

Search was the weak spot. Title filters matched exact titles only, and we found no persona filters. You also can’t limit how many leads one company domain adds to a list.
The Multichannel plan includes 400 credits per user per month, enough for about 80 verified contact details. The Email plan includes none. Email plan users pay for data separately, through the $16 enrichment add-on (2,000 credits a month, annual billing) or top-ups. lemlist’s signals feature costs extra too. It alerts you when a lead changes jobs, a company raises funding or starts hiring, or someone visits your site.
Inbox, Reports, and CRM

On the Multichannel plan, LinkedIn messages and emails arrive in one unified inbox. In our test, that meant one merged thread per lead, so picking out interested replies took extra clicks. There was no outbox to check messages waiting to go out. The reports put every channel side by side, and it took us a while to find the number we wanted. A custom dashboard fixed most of that.
HubSpot, Salesforce, and Pipedrive connect natively on every plan. Other CRMs go through Zapier, Make, n8n, or Clay. Working in lemlist from inside your CRM is Enterprise only.
AI Agents: lemAgent, Signal Agents, and lemlist MCP

lemAgent builds a campaign from a chat prompt: audience, brief, sequence with branches, and every message. Nothing launches until you approve it, and lemlist still marks it “New.” Through the lemlist MCP server, tools like Claude Desktop or Cursor can search leads, enrich them, and manage campaigns (40+ actions in total).
The AI Context Center learns your offer from your website or from text you add by hand. You get one per account, so a company with three products has to choose which one the AI writes about. Signal agents watch a wide range of events, website visitors included. Ours started surfacing leads soon after launch.
lemlist LinkedIn Automation: What It Can Do and Where It Stops
lemlist uses your browser session for LinkedIn. You install the Chrome extension, stay logged into LinkedIn, and lemlist works through that login. Its help center calls the extension “required for LinkedIn automation.”
| LinkedIn action | In lemlist | Note |
|---|---|---|
| Profile visit | Yes | Used to warm up a lead before the invite |
| LinkedIn invite | Yes | Note up to 200 characters, 300 with LinkedIn Premium |
| LinkedIn messages | Yes | 1st-degree connections only |
| Comment on latest post | Yes | A step in the sequence |
| Voice message | Yes | Recorded or AI-generated |
| Sales Navigator import | Yes | Through the Chrome extension or a CSV with profile URLs |
| LinkedIn Recruiter | No | The extension doesn’t work in Recruiter or on event pages |
The lemlist Chrome Extension and the Browser Session
The lemlist chrome extension links one LinkedIn account to one lemlist account. Only personal LinkedIn profiles are supported. Running three LinkedIn profiles means three seats and three Chrome profiles.
If you log out of LinkedIn or lemlist, or clear cookies, the connection breaks and the LinkedIn steps for that account stop. We found no help center answer on whether steps run while Chrome is closed. Ask lemlist’s support team before you plan overnight sends.
How Many LinkedIn Actions per Day
lemlist suggests staying under 20 invites, 30 profile visits, and 30 messages a day, with roughly 100 to 110 LinkedIn actions overall. Invitation Ramp-Up starts lower and adds invites each day until it reaches your cap. lemlist also notes LinkedIn’s own ceiling of about 100 invitations per rolling week. After a restriction, lemlist advises pausing for 48 hours and restarting at about five actions a day.
Dripify takes a different route for LinkedIn outreach. Campaigns run on Dripify’s servers from a dedicated IP in your location, so there is no browser session to keep alive. Actions happen at random times inside your working hours. Daily volume is yours to set within the plan’s limits, and on the Advanced plan it adjusts by itself. No tool can stop LinkedIn from restricting an automated account, though, so start slow in the first weeks.
lemlist Deliverability: Warm-Up and Inbox Placement Tools

Email deliverability is lemlist’s strongest area. Every plan includes lemwarm for email warm-up, plus inbox rotation, rotating IPs, a custom tracking domain, a DNS setup test, and deliverability alerts.
Setup is where you feel it first. Adding a domain walks you through registration and the authentication records step by step. You can buy domains inside lemlist or connect ones you already own. We bought a new domain and set up mailboxes through the automated flow, and the whole thing took us about 13 minutes.
You can test inbox placement inside lemlist before a launch. For cold email, lemlist advises under 40 emails a day from a mailbox younger than one year, and 60 to 70 a day in total per mailbox.
Some G2 reviewers report emails reaching spam despite warm-up (G2). Keep your bounce rate low with verified lists, and watch the alerts in the first weeks.
lemlist Pricing 2026: Plans, Credits, and Real Cost
lemlist pricing starts at $55 a month for the Email plan, billed yearly. LinkedIn steps live on the Multichannel plan, which runs $87 per user a month with annual billing, or $109 if you pay month to month.
Pricing verified: Oct 15, 2026, on lemlist’s pricing page.
| lemlist pricing plans | Annual billing | Monthly billing | What you get |
|---|---|---|---|
| Email plan | $55/mo | $69/mo | Up to 50,000 emails a month for any number of users and senders. No LinkedIn and no credits |
| Multichannel plan | $87 per user/mo | $109 per user/mo | Adds LinkedIn, calls, and SMS. Unlimited email, 5 senders, and 400 credits per user |
| Enterprise | Custom | Custom | Multichannel plus custom user roles, SSO/SAML, priority support, and a dedicated account manager |
| Enrichment add-on | $16/mo | $20/mo | 2,000 credits a month for emails and phone numbers |
| Signals add-on | $21/mo | $29/mo | Alerts on up to 100 buying signals a month |
Credits follow three rules. Plan credits reset every month. Add-on credits roll over while the add-on is active. Top-up credits stay until you use them, even after you cancel, as long as the account exists.
To try lemlist first, start the 14-day free trial. It asks for no credit card and opens the Multichannel plan’s features (in-app calls excluded), with 200 credits that don’t refill.

What lemlist Costs for a 1, 5, and 10-Person Team
| Team size | Multichannel, annual billing | Multichannel, monthly billing | Plan credits per month |
|---|---|---|---|
| Solo | $87/mo ($1,044/yr) | $109/mo | 400 |
| Team of 5 | $435/mo ($5,220/yr) | $545/mo | 2,000 |
| Team of 10 | $870/mo ($10,440/yr) | $1,090/mo | 4,000 |
How we counted: one seat on the Multichannel plan and one LinkedIn account per person (the Email plan can’t run LinkedIn steps). We left out LinkedIn Premium, extra credits, and WhatsApp. If your team only sends email, the Email plan costs $55 a month no matter how many people use it, up to 50,000 emails.
For a LinkedIn-first team, the lemlist cost is a per-seat cost on the Multichannel plan. Dripify also prices per LinkedIn account: Pro is $59 and Advanced $79 a month on annual billing ($79 and $99 monthly). See Dripify pricing.
lemlist Reviews: What Users Say
| Platform | Rating | Reviews | Main plus | Main minus |
|---|---|---|---|---|
| G2 | 4.6/5 | 2,397 | Ease of use (584 mentions) | 208 mentions of missing features, 141 of price |
| Capterra | 4.6/5 | 387 | 4.6 for value and for support | Features score lowest, at 4.4 |
| Trustpilot | 4.7/5 | 245 | Support that answers fast and in detail | About one review in eight gives one star, mostly over support replies or features that disappeared |
Trustpilot user feedback swings harder. Most people give five stars (81%), yet 12% give just one.
Who Should Use lemlist (and Who Shouldn’t)
Good fit if:
- Your target audience answers cold email.
- You don’t want to pay for a separate warm-up tool.
- A large team can share one Email plan with unlimited users.
Look elsewhere if:
- LinkedIn brings most of your replies, and you don’t want automation tied to Chrome.
- You recruit in LinkedIn Recruiter (the extension doesn’t work there).
- You want LinkedIn-only campaigns without an email step.
- You sell several products and want separate AI context for each.
lemlist Alternatives (Including Dripify)
Choose among lemlist alternatives and cold email tools by your main channel. LinkedIn-heavy teams can look at Dripify. Instantly makes sense for teams sending email at volume, and Apollo for teams that mostly need data. Agencies that run many LinkedIn senders and don’t need email can check HeyReach.
Dripify is a LinkedIn automation tool, and its email steps sit in the same sequence, sent from your own Gmail or Outlook. Nothing depends on your browser, because campaigns live on Dripify’s servers. When a lead replies, their sequence pauses. The Pro plan covers unlimited multichannel sequences, HubSpot, the Open API, and MCP. The Advanced plan adds team management, step analytics, evergreen lead upload, and A/B testing. Pearl Lemon went from 10-15 to 30-45 meetings a month in 12 months (case study). See the full lemlist vs Dripify comparison.
- Instantly: email-first, with unlimited email accounts and warm-up on its Growth plan. Its lead database is sold separately.
- Apollo: database-first. Its person and company filters were among the widest we tested, saved personas included, and it claims 240M contacts plus a free plan. The trade-off is that LinkedIn steps are manual tasks, and credits you don’t use expire each billing cycle.
- HeyReach: built for agencies that juggle many LinkedIn senders, priced per sender. It has no email channel of its own, so email runs through Instantly or Smartlead.
More options: LinkedIn automation tools.
Before switching tools:
- Pull your leads and campaign history out of lemlist first.
- Cancel close to your renewal date and use up plan credits first, since they don’t carry over.
So, Is lemlist Worth It in 2026?
Our lemlist review score is 7.5 out of 10. For teams whose meetings mostly come from cold email, it earns its price, since warm-up, personalization, and lead data share one subscription.
Our test backed that up on the email side, while lead search and the shared inbox were the weaker parts. LinkedIn-first teams get a harder setup: they need to keep the Chrome extension connected, pay for a seat per LinkedIn account, and add an email step to any campaign with LinkedIn steps. If that’s your team, run a cloud-based LinkedIn tool next to lemlist during both free trials.
Frequently Asked Questions
From $55 a month. That’s the Email plan on annual billing ($69 if you pay monthly), with 50,000 emails and no user limit. For LinkedIn, you’ll need the Multichannel plan: $87 per user a month annually, or $109 monthly. Enterprise pricing comes from sales.
For email plus LinkedIn, calls, or SMS in one sequence, lemlist covers more. Instantly sticks to cold email, and its Growth plan already includes unlimited email accounts and warm-up.
It depends on whether you need data or automated sending more. Apollo wins on data: it claims 240M contacts, has a free plan, and its filters went deeper than lemlist’s in our test. lemlist wins on multichannel sending, since its LinkedIn steps run automatically and Apollo leaves LinkedIn as manual tasks.
lemlist’s help center says LinkedIn actions depend on your browser session and the Chrome extension. You also need to stay logged into LinkedIn in that Chrome profile. It doesn’t say whether steps run with Chrome closed, so confirm with support.
Plan credits don’t: they reset every month. Credits from the enrichment add-on carry over, but only while you keep the add-on. Top-up credits roll over until used, even after you cancel the paid plan.
